Shrine for a murdered child, Keyontae Osbia Moore












This very sad shrine, with numerous dolls, is in memory of a toddler who was murdered recently in Southeast Washington DC.

This shrine really got to me... May there be peace in the universe, and in all hearts.

From a DC Police report: On Monday, March 5, 2012, units from the Seventh District were dispatched to United Medical Center. Upon arrival it was discovered that a 20-month-old child had been transported there from the 3000 block of 30th Street SE, Washington DC. The child, 20-month-old Keyontae Osbia Moore, was in extremely critical condition and was immediately transported to Children’s Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead. On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, an autopsy was completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide and the cause of death has been ruled blunt impact trauma. On Monday, March 12, 2012, at approximately 11:15 am, members from the Special Victim’s Unit arrested Jonathan T. Fullard, 38, and charged him with First Degree Felony Murder.

James Johnson | The Library is closed



From a DC Police report: On Sunday, March 18, 2012, at approximately 2:27 am, officers from the Fifth District responded to the 3500 block of 12th Street NE, Washington DC, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead. The decedent has been identified as James Barrington Johnson, 34, of no fixed address.

Mr. Johnson appears to have been slain inside the Library nightclub, which has been ordered closed by city authorities.

Delonte McCray's street shrine | Temple Hills MD






From a Prince George's County Police report: On March 2, 2012, at approximately 11:13 pm, patrol officers responded to the 2600 block of Keating Street in Temple Hills, Maryland, for the report of a shooting. Officers found Delonte Michael McCray, 18, lying on the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on March 3, 2012.

Memorial for Tyesha Williams | Suitland Road PG County




This memorial to Tyesha Williams is on Suitland Road in Suitland Maryland. The driver of the vehicle she died in has been charged with manslaughter.
From a TV news source: A driver who left the scene of a deadly crash in Prince George's County last month is now in custody. Daron Britt, 21, has been arrested in Washington DC on a gun charge. Prince George's County Police are charging Britt with manslaughter.
Police say Britt was driving a SUV when it crashed into a tree on Suitland Road near Hil-Mar Drive in the early morning hours of February 19, 2012
Tyesha Williams, 19, was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.

Ms. Williams leaves behind a 2-year-old son.
