Washington Monument
My colleague Carl Bower ( www.carlbower.com ) alerted me to this street memorial, created to honor an elderly asian woman who was killed recently while crossing upper Connecticut Ave NW in Washington DC.
Her family has built and maintained this quiet shrine with offerings of rice, a small bird's egg, incense, fruit, cigarettes, water, and flowers.
