From a DC Police report: On Thursday, July 30, 2015, at approximately 9:25 pm, in the 3300 block of Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington DC, members of the Third District responded for a call of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The decedent has been identified as Derrick Black, 24.
