Memorial for Shahim Body / 5200 block of Leverett Street, Oxon Hill, MD

From a Prince Georges Police report: Detectives with the Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of a man in Oxon Hill. He is Shahim Body, 26, of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill. On June 6th, 2017, at about 8:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 5200 block of Leverett Street, Oxon Hill, Maryland for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later. Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
