Matthew Walker | Police crime tape, 900 block of Eastern Avenue NE, Washington DC

From a DC police report: Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue NE, Washington DC,  on Sunday, August 7, 2016.
At approximately 1:25 am, members of the Sixth District responded to a call for a shooting. Upon arrival on the scene, members located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and determined that there were no signs consistent with life.  The decedent has been identified as Matthew Walker, 26.

This police crime tape marking the site of Mr. Walker's demise was beneath a balcony in a garden apartment complex.
